How is epoxy resin different than other art mediums?

Epoxy resin is a two-part polymer medium that when cured becomes extremely solid and durable. When mixed and treated properly, resin cures almost completely bubble-free and as clear as glass. 

Any items free of moisture can be casted into resin, including and not limited to
flowers, fruit, beads, paper, and ribbons.
